Accessibility

eth1cal pursues conformance with WCAG 2.2 level AA guidelines. We believe elite technology should be accessible by default, not as an afterthought.

Implemented measures

• HTML5 semantic structure with correct heading hierarchy (one <h1> per page).
• Minimum 4.5:1 text-to-background contrast (most of the site at 17:1+).
• Keyboard navigation for all interactive elements.
• Visible focus on all focusable elements.
• Support for prefers-reduced-motion: animations are disabled for users who request it.
• lang attribute set on each page per language.
• Images with meaningful alt text. Decorative elements marked as aria-hidden.
• Forms with visible labels and error messages bound via aria-describedby.
• "Skip to content" link at the start of each page.
• Content structure navigable by screen readers.

Known limitations

The attack globe on the home page contains continuous motion. Users with prefers-reduced-motion enabled have the feed and impact animations disabled, but the base rotation of the globe continues. If that rotation causes discomfort, the main content of the site remains fully accessible without it.
